Hi, my name is Heidi Rome. My role is to empower communication through creating conversations and skill sets with professionals, parents, and communities who are in overwhelm or facing challenging life changes. I’m here to support a community who are seeking to create daily practices that engage effective life-giving skills and conversations while facing hard things.
I have been on the autism journey for eighteen years with my second son, Ethan. I remember, all too well, the out-of-body feelings that I had when I first received his diagnosis. We had fought so hard to even have children, and this new baby was so welcomed, yet something from the start wasn’t right…wasn’t the same as his older brother.
Are you overwhelmed? I was overwhelmed by confusion, grief and loneliness, not to mention flooded with information. It was all just too much on too many levels and it seemed to have no relief in sight.
For years, I lived my life through the autism lens, drained of energy and driven by fear. However, that was then…I went through some hard years, and some hard lessons, and often I was on my own. I don’t want that for anyone else on a plot change journey…especially not moms with autistic children.
Are you ready for skills and awareness of where to go when situations are complex? For a roadmap of how to get your life back?
Win/When workshops and seminars are about taking your life back, owning the choices you have and broadening the “in-the-moment” experiences when situations are hard.
